When considering the 12th rib, we recall the saying of Dr. William Sutherland, who said that it is often the small things that are the big things in the science of osteopathy. The 12th rib is certainly very small, but it has a significant effect on the body's physiology. Sue was greatly inspired by Dr. Anne Wales, who was a friend and student of Sutherland. Dr. Wales taught Sue Dr. Sutherland’s approach to the whole body over many years.
